Nov 29th - An early and cold start at 6.15am to follow up a complaint from a local resident about buses parking outside their house early in the morning with their engines running disturbing their quality of life. Observed buses and spoke to two drivers and asked them to respect local residents during the early hours of the morning, parking only at bus stops and turning engines off when they can.

Nov 29th - Apologies again for the absence of regular updates for regular readers but I needed a break to recharge my batteries and have been on holiday for the past two weeks! Didn't want to advertise it too loudly before I went!!

Hit the ground running on my return attending the Manchester Lord Mayor's ball at Manchester Town Hall last Thursday evening and attending the recording of ITV1's Christmas Eve carol concert at Liverpool Anglican Cathedral on Friday evening. It was a wonderful service and I would strongly recommend tuning in on Christmas Eve to watch the show.

Nov 5th - Off to Manchester Town Hall this evening for a dinner with the outgoing Regional President Viv Bingham and guest speakers Saj Karim MEP and Sir Menzies Campbell MP. No doubt Iraq will be high on the agenda for debate over dinner, our thoughts and sympathies are with those members and families of the Black Watch today following their sad loss yesterday.

Nov 5th - Apologies for the absence of recent updates to those regular readers who like to keep an eye on what I am doing! I have been busy since my last entry on a variety of issues but have experienced the trauma of a PC virus that wiped out my computer. I have bought a new machine which thankfully is up and running now and protected by anti-virus software!!
