Oct 4th - After a very successful National Association of Local Councils conference in Scarborough this weekend - Halewood Town Council collected three awards - it's back to the grindstone with a bang and the announcement of the next phase of the Education Department's Statement of Intent this morning.
We will find out what is now planned for the primary school sector and it is likely there will be some disappointing news for some one, watch this space!
This afternoon it's back to Huyton for a meeting with the Director of Policy, Performance and Partnerships to discuss tomorrow's visit of the Comprehensive Performance Assesment Team and next week's inspection by the team. The Council is confident it will be graded an excellent council by the Audit Commission after the visit but I have some concerns that we have achieved everything we need to do in order to reach that grade.
