Happy New Year!!
Wednesday 4th January 2006 - OK the holidays are over now, I am back from my jaunt down under, we have exchanged presents and broken most of the resolutions we set ourselves at midnight last Saturday so let's get back to work shall we!!
There are two resolutions I am determined to crack this year though, 1 - regular updates to this blog including my views on some of the topical political stories of the day as well as regular updates of the work I am doing for my community and 2 - Stop smoking!!
OK so I am still puffing away at about 25-30 a day but hey Rome wasn't even built in a day, I will stop this year!! In fact as soon as I have posted this update I am going to phone the Doctor's surgery and make an appointment to see what help and support they can provide. The only thing stopping me now could be the fact that I cannot get an appointment in the next 48 weeks!! Oh well maybe my new patients choice will allow me to chooose between any of four surgeries?? Oops there I go already being political!!
I will keep regular readers posted with my stop smoking campaign progress.
For those of you who like to view my topical - some would say silly - pictures here is one that I recently receieved from my Mexican dive buddy following our recent trip to the Great Barrier Reef, thanks Roman. PS I am the one behind the turtle!!
